Showers of Blessings ~ Clouds and Raindrops Baby Girl Shower

I came up with an idea for a cute guest "book" that went along with the theme of the shower.
We put eight raindrop cutouts on each table as confetti for the centerpiece. We then passed around a pink marker and a little Mason jar. We told the guests to sign their names on a raindrop and put it into the jar as it was passed from table to table. Some guests added extra comments on the raindrops also. 

The beverages
 I removed the labels that were originally on the water bottles and replaced them with cute Washi tape. We added the cloud cutouts onto the pink and white striped straws.  

 

A close up of the center of the food table is shown here. I used the same Washi tape for the wooden "N" decoration as I used on the water bottles. (N is the first initial of the baby girls name.) I gave it to the Mom-to-be as an added gift. Another bottle that I painted white served as a vase for the pink flower bouquet. 

The homemade table centerpieces
I painted the Ball Mason jars pink and added the raining cloud decoration. I made the cloud, raindrops, and pink heart on my Cricut machine.  

Here we see the table centerpiece placed on a doily, set onto a square of pink fabric. The raindrop cut outs used as confetti.

The Gift Tables
 We hung a pink umbrella ~ complete with baby blue raindrops ~ over the tables.

This shower was all about showering the family with blessings! The Mom-to-be loved it as well as the guests. I had a committee of helpers that made this vision come to life. A special thank you to them for their help!

As of this posting we are still awaiting the arrival of the baby girl. Can't wait to meet the Princess!

~ FUN "A Little Man is on the Way!" Baby Boy Shower ~

I had fun planning and setting up this shower! First the simple homemade Chocolate Mustache Pops Centerpiece. I wrapped tin cans with mustache themed ribbon, filled the cans with the pops that I packaged in glassine bags and tied with blue ribbon. Mustache confetti was added on the blue fabric square at each table.

The Snack Spread ~ Chocolate Chip Cookies (Regular and Gluten Free), Chocolate Mustache Pops, Dipped Pretzel Rods, Kisses, Popcorn, Milk, and blue punch. Coffee and Tea were also options at the tables. 

"Stache" Some Popcorn For Later. I made these little takeaway boxes with mustache detail ready to be filled and taken home.

"A Little Man is on the Way!" I used my Vintage Chalkboard and drew fun designs and of course a mustache too! 

"Grab a Milk Mustache" and "Wet Your Whiskers". Beverage dispensers with signs I created added to them.  

Mustache Themed Baby Shower Game and others were played.

"It's a Boy!" Baby Blue wrapped Chocolate Kisses in a Mustache treat bowl.

Fun brown Mustaches on blue and white striped straws in Ball Mason jars ~ ready to be filled up with the beverage of choice.

The shower was a hit and I could not have done it without the help of a great group of hard working ladies! And the best news: a beautiful healthy baby boy was born! A new years baby at that!

~ Downton Abbey Cookies ~

I used a Santa cookie cutter for the men of "Downton Abbey". I cut the head off because it had a large beard and Santa hat. :D  

For the women, I used my baby onesie cookie cutter. I cut the bottom part off and the sleeves to achieve the shape needed for the dress and apron.

New Year Organizing Tip

Here is how I separate coins that accumulate around the house. When each tin is too full to close, I count it up and exchange them at the bank for paper money.
I then add this to my garage sale/flea market savings.

Use an empty, clean and dry, mint tin. This brand pictured has my favorite size to use. 

Using whatever  label maker or "P-touch" you have access to, print labels with what you are planning on storing inside your tins.

Here is my printed label for the Glue Sticks tin. I then filled the tin with the sticks.

I like to put my label on the front bottom half of the tin. They fit nicely there after a little trim off each end.
